Resources for Remote Supervision Requirements

VDHA is very excited to offer these resource-rich toolkits to help you navigate this new world of remote supervision. The one-time purchase of the following toolkits allows you download ability, as well as ongoing access to these ‘living’ resources. VDHA will periodically update as new resources become available. As this area of practice is new to hygienists in Virginia, due diligence is critical to understanding the law as well as having a foundation of knowledge pertaining to a particular setting.

As remote supervision expands in Virginia, we hope to expand the resources and share materials that other dental hygienists (YOU!) have developed and discovered.

Exploratory Toolkit - Buy Now

Members: FREE to Members
Potential Members: $40.00

This toolkit serves as a general introduction into how to explore the basics of practicing under remote supervision, including grant opportunities for funding. Because dental hygienists, under Virginia law, cannot be directly reimbursed by third party insurance entities, financial viability can be a challenge, unless you are able to partner with a non-profit/government funded facility that already has some resources in place. If you are interested in pursuing a remote supervision setting, but don’t know where to start, this Exploratory toolkit provides some basic information to help in your decision-making process.

Once purchased, the toolkit is for the sole use of the purchaser ONLY. It is not to be distributed to a non-purchaser. We are relying on you as ethical and legally responsible professionals to protect and value the time, effort and financial resources that produced this valuable resource.
